Citrus Counseling Services (CCS) is a non-profit organization
providing comprehensive mental health services since 1978,
including specialized programs for children, at-risk youth, and
victims of crime. We offer individual, couples, and family
counseling in a supportive, inclusive environment where clients can
thrive. We are excited to offer two traineeship
opportunitiesthrough ourUnderserved Victims (UV) contract funded by
CalOES. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to provide
behavioral health services to unserved/underserved youth who are
victims and survivors of crime. Please note:The traineeship will
begin inAugust 2026, with interviews held in April-May. Why Choose

for your career journey. This traineeship offers: Clinical
Supervision:Receive regular individual and group supervision to
support your professional development. Diverse Experience:Work with
a wide range of clients, including children, youth, and families,
while developing essential clinical skills. Enhanced Clinical
Skills:Gain a deeper understanding of therapeutic techniques and
crisis management strategies to navigate complex situations.
Professional Networking:Build valuable connections within the
mental health community. Ongoing Training: Participate in training
sessions designed to continuously enhance your skills and
knowledge. What You'll Do: Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a minimum of twenty (20) hours weekly. Complete session
notes within 24 hours. Attend and participate in weekly individual
and group supervision. Maintain confidential clinical records in
keeping with agency policies and procedures. Prepare hours of
experience log for weekly signature of supervisor. Inform
supervisor immediately of client crisis issues such as: potential
breach of confidentiality, suicide risks, suspicion of child or
elder abuse and any CFS/APS reports, Tarasoff and safety concerns,
or emergency psychiatric hospitalizations. Document crisis facts
carefully and completely in case notes and review those notes with
supervisor. Attend and participate in administrative staff
meetings, in-service events, and other team building activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to maintain
confidentiality. Ability to accept and respect cultural diversity.
Ability to maintain neutralityin therapeutic settings. Strong
written and verbal communicationskills. Effective organization and
time managementskills. Requirements: Enrollment at an accredited
college or university. Completion of at least one yearin a Masters
level program. Actively working towards an LMFTor LPCClicense.
Ability to attend clinical training every 2nd Fridayof the month
and staff meetings every 2nd Wednesdayof the month. A genuine
desire to work with youth. Previous experience with youthis
