We are seeking a Interior Design Lead with technical and design
skills to support and execute all scales of design projects. This
role will perform within a design team in a self - directed manner
in multiple aspects of the design process including but not limited
to the design & documentation of all phases, the preparation of
materials, and construction administration activities within
established budgets, schedules, and programmatic requirements.
Leads aspects of or entire projects (depending on scope) and liaise
directly with clientele and consultants.
This role is in the Los Angeles, CA area.
What you'll do
-Leads project team through design and delivery process, including
comprehension of scope deliverables and partners with project
management and technical leads on a variety of projects
-Take a lead role in coordinating with client, contractor, and
consultants
-Manage workflow and production of deliverables
-Take a lead role in programming, space planning, and design
activities
-Research, recommend and select appropriate finishes, fixtures, and
furniture
-Clearly communicate design concepts and conduct client
presentations in a variety of formats
-Utilize BIM technology in development of 3-dimensional models,
documentation, and coordination
-Prepare and or/coordinate project design documentation
-Lead construction document coordination, review and quality
assurance including coordination with consultants, contractors, and
other trades
-Participate in construction administration, including review of
RFIs, submittals, and site visits to ensure accuracy
-Prepare workflow for junior team members and identify development
opportunities, delegates tasks effectively.
-Assure project team stays within client's project budget and works
within the project fee.
-Participate in project marketing and interviews
Education Completed (Min.)
--- B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from Council for Interior
Design Accreditation curriculum OR Professional degree from a
program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board
(NAAB) or the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB)

--- Architecture or Interior Design
Certificates and/or Licenses
--- Architectural / Interior or in process
What you'll need
--- 9+ Years experience
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English
comprehension and spoken English. High degree of efficient
communication and maintaining excellent client expectations.
--- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
--- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous
service to customers.
--- Ability to effectively present information to an internal
department and/or groups of stakeholders.
--- Ability to work independently and autonomously to solve
problems involving multiple options.
--- Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
--- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to
solve problems involving several options in situations.
--- Advanced graphic and presentation skills
--- Understanding and application of design principles, theories,
furniture trends and innovations, color and materials
--- Resilient and able to work fluidly from team collaboration to
independent work.
--- Solution focused at all times towards successful project and
client outcomes.
--- Ability to write reports, compile and give presentations to the
client, colleagues and stakeholders.
--- Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced
environment on projects and with teams located in different time
zones.
--- In-depth knowledge of business office and design tools
including Revit, Bluebeam, CAD, Adobe CC, Word, Excel, Outlook.
EQUAL PAY DISCLAIMER
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine
compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and
experience. The minimum salary for the position is $100,000
annually and the maximum salary for the position is $120,000
annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful
candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications,
and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a
discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
