This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 9055 Las Tuna Drive, Temple City, California 91780

Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the ability to build trust and to maintain collaborative relationship with others and contribute as an effective team member
• Act as a member advocate in providing assistance to resolve their issues and concerns
• Follow through and resolve inquiries related to medical treatment authorizations, claims, billing, sales enrollment, and material fulfillment in timely manner
• Input and update member data, including contact information, language preference and Primary Care Physician selection, in system to maintain their accuracy.
• Document communication and member issues in Maestro immediately after each interaction
• Proactively educate members on covered benefits, plan exclusions/restrictions, and procedures to enhance total member experience
• Assist members to apply for available and accessible federal and local government assistance programs, i.e. Medicare, Medi-Cal, MSP & LIS
• Provide support to member retention projects initiated by departments within the organization as needed
• Promote, conduct and host/co-host, including presenting, various store events and seminars to existing members and general public
• Perform accountabilities in accordance with established organizational metrics
• Identify trends and make innovative recommendations to improve operation process.
• Perform and/support related projects and duties when assigned, which are not listed in the essential job descriptions
• Offer and review benefits and their access path to walk-in prospects who are interested in UHC Medicare Products
• Enroll walk-in Medicare eligible beneficiaries as an internal licensed agent to grow business
• Minimize administrative work for UHC producers without compromising outcome of established above-stated core daily duties

  Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • California Health License or the ability to obtain license within 30 days of employment
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Multi-lingual fluency in English, Chinese Cantonese and Chinese Mandarin (reading, writing, typing and speaking)
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1+ years of Case Management experience
    • Ability to navigate through multiple computer programs including Microsoft Excel (create spreadsheets) and Microsoft Word (create and update documents)

      California Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is $18.80 - $36.78.
