Job Description:

Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client who is looking for someone to join their team! The ideal person is responsible for activities and operations of the vendor and accounts payable function for the organization. This person can analyze invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment and ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and maintains accurate financial records and control reports. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and developing the work of the accounts payable team. This role is hybrid in West Hollywood and can pay up to $40/hr, depending on experience. Experience with Yardi is preferred!Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review coding and entry of invoices and post batches in accounting system
• Track and verify all owed vendor credits are received
• Prepares accounts payable register and related reports in a timely manner. Weekly and monthly reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing within the department. Ensure department meets deadlines (weekly, monthly, etc.)
• Supervises a team of 5 to 10 staff
• Assist in closing the ledgers at month end
• Support the team with vendor issues and help resolve escalated problems
• Manage the balance of workload within the accounts payable team
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Compliance with all governmental and vendor requirements (1099's, W9's, B Notices). Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety practices.
• Process some vendor payments.Qualifications:
  • Experience with Yardi Accounting Software preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Strong reconciliation experience required
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
