Position: -Senior Vice President, Head of Communications, dick clark productionsLocation: - Los Angeles, CAWho we are: dick clark productions (dcp) is the world's largest producer and proprietor of televised live event entertainment programming with the "Academy of Country Music Awards," "American Music Awards," "Billboard Music Awards," "Golden Globe Awards," "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest," So You Think You Can Dance, and the Streamy Awards. dcp owns one of the world's most extensive and unique entertainment archive libraries with more than 60 years of award-winning shows, historic programs, specials, performances and legendary programming.What Youll Do: In this newly created, senior leadership role, the Senior Vice President, Head of Communications will be responsible for leading and executing external communications for the worlds largest producer and proprietor of live event entertainment programming. - -Reporting to the President, this leader will serve as the corporate communications counsel to our senior leadership team. - This position is located at our Beverly Hills HQ. -The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, with a track record of success, as well as solid relationships with entertainment and trade press. - The successful SVP, Communications will deliver best in class campaigns through the establishment of best practices, as well as clear and effective communications internally and externally. - Your responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and motivate the dcp External Communications team Oversee the teams execution of live event series with network partners, ensuring creative campaigns and consistent execution, from announcements through red carpet, to live event and post-showRemain accountable for the creation and execution of publicity, awards campaigns, and production communications, with distribution partners, labels and affiliated studiosCollaborate with our platform partners to promote and publicize 6+ live TV events annuallyGenerate and oversee press materials, including announcement releases, bios, talking points, and pitchesWork closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. programming, production, business affairs, finance, HR) to ensure streamlined communications across campaigns and initiatives, as well as within teamsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with artists, representatives, producers, and studio and network communications teams, to ensure consistent communications and productive campaignsManage our 3rd party agency relationshipsGrow the Communications team through hiring, in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Your Experience and Qualifications
    • 12+ years of professional experience in communications, with demonstrated knowledge of non-scripted and televised live events publicity, with 5+ years in supervisory or team leadership roles -
    • Prior experience in publicity at a studio or network, or at an agency directly responsible for studio or network clients
    • Experience working in the music space is ideal
    • Corporate and Crisis communications experience required
    • Proven experience with communications planning, publicity campaign development, and execution
    • Experience designing, executing, and managing talent flow through Red Carpet is of great value
    • Highly collaborative with a leadership style that is inspiring and effective
    • Inclusive leader with demonstrated experience leading a diverse team
    • Ability to manage and lead teams cross-divisionally
    • Willingness to dive into tactical execution, multitask, and manage complex projects
    • Strong existing relationships with communications teams at networks, studios, and music labels, as well as journalists, artists, representatives and producers
    • Experience managing third party agencies
    • Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and driven to succeed
