Blue Wire is a sports media brand reaching millions of listeners through 200+ podcasts with influencers, journalists, athletes, pro teams, and fans. Founded in August 2018, the company has grown from a cluster of regional podcasts to one of the largest sports audio providers on the internet. Our current work spans audio and video production and provides for full-service marketing, monetization, and distribution services for our owned IP. With continued growth, we are recruiting for a dedicated Account Executive. ā€¨Position Overview:The Account Executive will generate meaningful audio advertising revenue across our network of 250+ podcasts and associated creators by expanding business relations with the company's growing list of advertiser and agency partners.

Location: New York or Los Angles Preferred

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and manage deep relationships with audio ad agencies, direct clients, and the entire podcast media buying and planning chain
  • Drive new and incremental podcast ad revenue across audio, video, and social channels
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to build account specific strategies and create consultative sales proposals that represent our best-in-class products
  • Meet with media and marketing prospects to build a sales pipeline that helps Blue Wire exceed quarterly and yearly targets
  • Develop and manage prospecting process and outreach strategy for bringing new audio advertisers (and associated revenue) to Blue Wire
  • Manage the sales process from proposal through post-analysis Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years audio (preferred) and/or digital media sales
    • Proven success in acquiring new business and building and maintaining client relationships (audio agency exposure preferred) that drive renewals
    • Demonstrated track record of negotiating, structuring, and closing audio-centric brand partnerships
    • Strategic thinker who's able to take concepts to reality
    • Strong written and verbal communications
    • An entrepreneurial mindset, creative thinker, results oriented, passionate, ability to thrive in an unstructured environment
    • Sports enthusiast and up to date on leagues, teams, and major storylines
    • Understanding of the digital landscape including Audio, Podcasts, Social, Video, Branded Content, Data/Targeting, Ad Measurement, and more
      • Naturally curious, desire to problem solve and create solutions
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity
