Lead Engineer - Build & Release Irvine, CA (Hybrid - 3 days
onsite, 2 days remote) Full-Time Job ID 25-09691 Solugenix is
seeking an experienced Lead Engineer - Build & Release for a
full-time, hybrid position based in Irvine, CA. We are seeking a
Lead Engineer with hands-on experience in managing build systems
and orchestrating software releases across multiple environments.
You will be responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines using
Bamboo, Jenkins, and version control tools like Git and Bitbucket,
ensuring stable, reliable, and repeatable build and release
processes. Qualifications: 12 years of IT experience including
leading teams and projects. 5 years of experience in build
engineering and release management roles. Strong experience with
CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar. Proficiency in
version control systems: Git, Bitbucket, or SVN. Scripting
experience with Shell, Python, or Groovy for automation tasks. Nice
To Have: Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence,
Bamboo). Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain robust
CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and Jenkins. Manage and optimize build
processes for a range of software applications and services.
Coordinate release activities across dev, QA, staging, and
production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams
(development, QA, product management) to align on release timelines
and deliverables. Ensure accurate and timely deployment of code,
patches, and configuration changes. Administer source control
systems (Git, Bitbucket, or SVN), including branching strategies,
tagging, and merge processes. Document build and release processes,
tools, and configurations for ongoing support and training.
Troubleshoot and resolve build, merge, and deployment issues
promptly. Implement best practices in software versioning, build
artifact management, and release automation. Pay Range for CA, CO,
IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $75/hour. Starting rate of pay
offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to,
position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
