JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer II/Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team at Iambic Therapeutics. You will be a key player in applying advanced software engineering skills to build technologies that support our drug discovery efforts. Your key responsibilities include developing training data workflows for training machine-learning (ML) models, scalable deployment of ML technologies, and creating, testing, and maintaining software systems. This role is remote, with a preference for candidates on the US East Coast or in the UK.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a cross-functional team that spans the full domain of drug discovery.
• Provide software development support to the ML model lifecycle, including designing and developing:
  • Efficient and maintainable data pipelines
  • Benchmarking systems for models
  • Deployments to AWS and use of Kubernetes (in collaboration with our cloud engineers)
  • Collaborate on the creation, testing, and maintenance of software systems.
  • Conduct code reviews for pull requests in adjoining areas.
  • Maintain and mentor in software best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with ML scientists and other team members to understand requirements for deployed models.
  • Communicate work clearly in meetings and demos, tailored to the audience.QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or 3 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
    • Technical expertise in developing and maintaining ML systems used by the ML team.
    • Experience with cloud-based ML systems processing TBs of data.
    • Strong Python programming skills.
    • Working knowledge of concepts in Chemistry and Biology.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with ML engineers.
    • Demonstrates competence and rigor in software development.
    • Experience with scientific computing/lab environments (e.g., SLURM).
