\ \ \_This is a BONUS eligible position\_\ \ M--RAME, a contemporary Mexican restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills, is looking for an executive chef to lead our fast-paced kitchen team. Founded by Michelin Star chef Joshua Gil and Matthew Egan, M--RAME brings contemporary Mexican cuisine with a California sensibility to Beverly Hills. Having received critical acclaim since its inception mid pandemic in 2020, Mirame is currently listed on LA Eater as the number 5 restaurant in the city. Chef Josh Gil's ingredient driven menu embraces regional Mexican flavors using local and seasonal influences. Mirame's menu focuses on the cuisine of Mexico, however it incorporates methods from across the world to represent our interpretation of modern Alta California Mexican Cuisine. As the leader of the kitchen, you would work directly with the general manager and upper management to run all BOH aspects of the restaurant. You are directly responsible for food quality and maintenance in the kitchen, as well as working with other managers to ensure the smooth running of the establishment. Responsibilities: -Work with management to produce diversified menus in accordance with the restaurant's policy and vision.-Establish the working schedule and organize kitchen staff.-Understand and maintain labor cost.-Managing inventory and kitchen needs.-Produce high quality, consistent dishes that follow the established menu and meet location's standards, as well as customer requirements.-Ability to communicate in a clear, conscious way to all team members.-Ability to understand what people are asking, and providing insight without attitude. Helping to positively problem solve, and offering solutions and support where necessary.-Must be able to train subordinate chefs and the kitchen staff. Have teaching strategies that convey information clearly and in an accessible manner. Requirements: -4+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high paced setting.-Culinary school completion preferred but not required.-Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures-High level of creativity and reliability-Flexible schedule required-Familiarity with menu costing procedures-Ability to speak Spanish a plusThe job description does not constitute a contract of employment and the company may exercise its employment-at-will rights at any time.Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per yearWork Location: One location
