Assistant at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center
responsible for supporting perioperative care including patient
transport/transfer, holding retractors, shave preps, assisting with
OR instrumentation/equipment, and clerical tasks. Requires BLS,
California Fire and Life Safety card within 30 days, and at least
one year of acute care and surgical-related experience;
CNA/surgical tech/OR experience preferred. Position is on-site,
offers shift differentials and comprehensive benefits, and reports
to the Nurse Manager within the Surgical/Perioperative Services
department. Description Operating Room Assistant at Providence
Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA. Position
available is full-time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position is responsible for
assisting the operating room staff members in providing pre- and
post-operative care to patients. Specific areas of responsibility
include: patient transportation, patient transfer within the
operating rooms, holding retractors as assigned, shave preps, and

BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. California Fire and
Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire. 1
year of experience in an acute care setting. 1 year of experience
that provided general knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology and
operative procedures. Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: CNA, Instrument tech, Surgery tech or
equivalent education/experience. 1 year of Operating room
experience or evidence of on-the-job training program. 1 year of
Experience as nurse aide or transporter. 1 year of Experience with
