Plans and implements individualized
patient care based on observations. Participates in Continuous
Quality Improvement (CQI) monitoring to maintain or improve care of
designated patient population. Implements appropriate reporting,
referrals and care in accordance with standardized procedures.
Initiates emergency procedures when indicated.Demonstrates refined
assessment skills, integrating appropriate data sources to assess
the signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general appearance to
determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.Provides direct
and indirect care services, including, but not limited to, the
administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to
implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of
care.Observes signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to
medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical
condition.Prioritizes identified patient care problems within
assigned patients and assumes responsibility for problem
resolution, utilizing all resources as appropriatePlans patient
care and education based on disease process, anticipated patient
outcomes, complications of treatment, and psycho-social needs in
collaboration with other healthcare team membersParticipates in
evidence-based improvement initiatives and/or councils/committees
that improve nursing outcomes and the work environment in their
unit/department.Identifies and assesses patient safety concerns
with respect to age and developmental considerations. Intervenes to
provide a safe environment and evaluates effectiveness of
intervention for patient.Provides and accurately documents direct
and indirect patient care services that ensures the safety,
comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely
manner. QualificationsEducational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing
program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferredLicenses:
Valid CA RN license required Basic
Life Support (BLS)National speciatly certification required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years working in acute care
or ambulatory nursing setting required Working Title: Registered
