A 400 bed Los Angeles Metropolitan Area nonprofit Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager Cardiac Operating Room to run their busy Perioperative Service Line.The OR Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Perioperative Services, and will be supported by 2 Assistant Nurse Managers. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for 85 FTEs, including: Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, RNFAs, Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Support Staff. The Nurse Manager Cardiovascular Surgical Services will oversee a very busy department with 6 CVORs. The Medical Center is one of the regions leading Cardiovascular Surgery programs, and performs over 200 Cardiovascular Cases Per Month! The ideal Surgical Services Nurse Manager will have previous management or supervisory experience in the operating room Operating Room, as well as experience in a CVOR or in a Cath Lab. The Perioperative Services Nursing Manager will prepare annual budgets, develop spreadsheets, monitor and analyze financial information and implement operational changes to meet budget targets.
