Location: - Beverly Hills , CA POSITION OVERVIEW: Confidential
and private Family Office with broad-ranging business,
philanthropic and personal initiatives is seeking a CFO. As a key
member of the Senior Management team, the CFO will assume a
critical strategic and operational role in the overall management
of the company. They will have primary day to day responsibility
for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial
related activities. This will include direct responsibility for
accounting, finance, strategic planning, budgeting, financial
analysis, and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include
estate and tax planning, compliance, and the handling of financial
matters related to foundations and charitable giving, insurance,
and risk management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Oversee all
accounting, finance, tax-related, and estate planning activities
for the office.--- Direct all accounting policies, procedures, and
internal controls, and ensure compliance and appropriate checks and
balances.--- Supervise the production of all financial reporting
and investment performance reporting.--- Preparation and management
of budgets and cash flow forecasts for all entities and family
members.--- Oversee finance team responsible for all company,
household and personal bill paying.--- Responsible for all
checking, cash flow, and treasury management activities, including
the management and/or creation of all accounts, along with
extensive tracking systems associated with any movement of cash.---
Produce and oversee all performance reporting.--- Work closely with
the advisors to manage compliance, reporting and record keeping for
the family.--- Manage and oversee the relationship with auditors,
tax advisors, lenders, bankers, and other financial services
providers.--- Strategically manage and consider all matters related
to planning, cash management and liquidity needs, both short and
long term.--- Collaborate with the executive team on technology
decisions.--- Identify and manage business and operational risks,
and insurance requirements.--- Responsible for maintaining and
updating financial systems and corporate records across all
accounts and entities.--- Hire, train and retain skilled accounting
and finance staff.--- Collaborate with the rest of the management
team on investment decisions, investment structuring and tax
matters, operational matters and financial due diligence.CANDIDATE
PROFILE:--- The CFO must have strong analytical, strategic
planning, and written and verbal communication skills, including
the ability to work well with the principals/owners, board members,
trustees, and other members of the management team.--- The
candidate will have at least 12-15 years of broad-based financial
and business management experience, with a minimum of five years in
a management role. Experience in a family office, investment
management or financial services firm, or privately held
family-owned company is ideal.--- The successful candidate will
have the highest level of integrity, discretion, and dependability,
and a strong sense commitment to colleagues and the principals.---
This individual will have excellent academic credentials which
would include a BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, and ideally an
advanced degree and/or CPA.--- Prior experience working with
principals and familiarity with investments, trusts and estate
planning issues is highly preferred.CHARACTERISTICS FOR SUCCESS:---

be able to work with various technological platforms to develop
accounting and reporting deliverables as well as necessary tracking
mechanisms.--- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate
and manage well at all levels of the organization.--- Demonstrated
track record of increased responsibility and success in the areas
of accounting, finance, and tax.--- Exceptional organizational
capabilities given the scale of the operations and complexity
related to the org chart.--- Must be able to work in a fast-paced
environment and achieve objectives with tight timeframes on
multiple projects.--- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability
to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and
timely detailed analysis.--- Capable of balancing the daily and
monthly financial reporting and analysis with high level of
strategic thinking.--- Able to develop and leverage relationships
to create and cultivate networks of people and work with them to
accomplish objectives. ---- Rigorously maintain accountability
around processes and procedures for achieving high levels of
individual and organizational performance.--- Superior analytical
skills with the ability to apply logic and sound reasoning to
determine the facts, understand cause and effect and demonstrate
the necessary savvy to apply good judgment in complex situations.I
