Job Description Job Description Your growth is our reward Above & Beyond? That’s where we start. Volt is immediately hiring for Experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Carlsbad, Ca. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler you will: Build and assemble complex units including power supply assemblies, modules, chassis, panels, cable and wire harnesses, and electronic systems and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools. Build and assemble cable and wire harnesses in accordance with IPC-620 standards. Complete low- to medium-complexity assembly tasks as assigned by the department lead with minimal assistance. Complete complex assembly tasks as assigned by the department lead with moderate assistance from senior assemblers or supervisors. Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine assembly instructions. Follow established methods and sequences of operation outlined in work instructions, including wiring, component installation, and soldering. Accurately and timely document all work activities in the ERP system, including job/operation details, time tracking, and conformance notes with written comments as needed. Perform rework and repair activities as required. Clean parts using prescribed cleaning methods. Confer with department leads to resolve questions or issues related to assembly instructions or drawings. Perform quality control checks at designated points throughout the assembly process. Mark and label products according to work instructions and drawings using specified labels. Distribute materials, supplies, and subassemblies to designated work areas; maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping duties upon task completion. Work safely at all times in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies when conducting business on behalf of the organization. Available to work 6:30 am to 3:00 pm This is a full time opportunity The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of three (3) years of related experience. Sufficient English communication skills to understand verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively with team members both verbally and in writing; follow directions and task lists; and participate in departmental meetings and required training sessions. Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to work within an ERP system. Working knowledge of IPC-620 and J-STD-001 standards. Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ITAR requirements as they relate to job functions. Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, including crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, soldering irons, taps, Dremel tools, bench saws, vises, and power drills.
