Job Description Job Description Maintenance Technician – Join a Team That Values Your Skills The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and running smoothly. This position offers a wide variety of hands?on work—from carpentry and electrical repairs to plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance. What You’ll Do Perform interior and exterior painting, including shelves, cabinets, furniture, and mechanical equipment Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical appliances, and equipment; test circuits; replace switches, sockets, and fixtures Maintain and repair tools, motors, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems Conduct building inspections to identify repair needs and ensure safety compliance Support and guide apprentices and helpers as they develop their skills Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe; report machinery service needs Assist journeyman technicians with complex installations and repairs Repair and seal surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, plaster, and tile Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Manager, Crafts & Facilities Services What You Bring Strong skills in electrical systems and repairs Experience with plumbing installation and maintenance Proficiency in painting, drywall, and general building repairs Ability to conduct building inspections and ensure safety standards Familiarity with HVAC systems Masonry and general facilities maintenance experience Bonus Skills Experience mentoring apprentices or helpers Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Willingness to travel to off?site locations when needed Why You’ll Love Working With Us You’ll join a supportive, collaborative team that values craftsmanship and continuous learning. Work Environment This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in a range of conditions. You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs (with safety equipment as needed) and spending extended periods standing, stooping, or reaching. Standard hours are 8am–5pm with flexibility built in. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
