We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join The Agency team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performance of general ledger accounting, preparation of financial accounts, monthly opening and closing of accounts and preparation of balance sheets, working in conjunction with the Director of Accounting and Finance in the following areas: general accounting, fixed assets, and trend analysis and profit/loss accounts. In addition to the technical requirements of this position, this candidate must exemplify characteristics of the company's core values, exemplifying a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and innovation. We expect you to be extremely detail oriented, and able to manage yourself, looking to the team for leadership and collaboration.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings by preparing journal entries, analyzing, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.Support the financial reporting process.Participate on initiatives to meet goals and objectives.Take part in the annual operating budgeting process analysis and review of annual operating budget proposals.Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting2 - 4 years of relevant experienceAbility to operate within established accounting and reporting guidelines.Strong Excel skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in use of accounting software.Experience in Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Broke Wolf platforms is a plus.Strong attention to detail.Able to effectively work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Proven ability to gain trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
