Job Description:
SUMMARY Under general direction, the Executive Assistant ensures
proactive, effective and efficient functioning of assigned tasks,
full confidentiality in all aspects of assignment and
responsibilities. The Executive Assistant will also be responsible
for the maintenance of departmental processes and procedures and
follow-up on applicable deadlines. PRIMARY DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical and
administrative support duties for the Executive Management
Team.
- Receives and screens communications for the Executive
Management Team including telephone calls, e-mail messages,
recorded messages and/or aids using independent judgment to
determine appropriate action.
- Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring
and ongoing projects such as Stock Exercises, Entertainment
Program, etc.
- May conduct research upon request.
- Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings,
travel, and company activities. Coordinates and schedules travel
plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related
meetings, and respond to event invitations.
- Assists with the assembly of Board packages and other special
materials on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
- Safeguards the confidentiality of Pelican by exercising
discretion in communicating information to internal and external
customers.
- Organizes and maintains confidential files and records.
- Submits and reconciles expense reports.
- Plans, schedules and coordinates Executive Management Team
meetings, off-sites and all company meetings.
- Maintains office inventory and supplies for Executive
Department.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the
Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows
safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a in a similar
capacity position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint,
Word).
- Ability to work proactively and independently on a daily
basis.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication
skills
- Must have good analytical and organization skills, be
detail-oriented and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the
timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours. Must be able to work
evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle
multiple projects simultaneously.
- Emphasizes ethical leadership and decision-making to protect
Pelican's brand and reputation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING
CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be
occasionally required to execute standard physical activities
within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use
hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be
occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities
within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel,
crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally
lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities. The
approximate base compensation range is shown below. The actual
offer may vary based on skills, experience and location.Pelican
